Hi,

once again.. we go far off topic. We hijack a thread.
Sure, the original author started with a bit of polemics and sarcasms, but well, then talked about Renaissance and GDL2.

Frankly, I don't give a damn about filesystem layout. The only thing I care
about with GNUstep is applications. Apps are what matters. That and API
completeness. Get me a finished simplewebkit with table support so I can
boot into the GNUstep desktop and use it without the taint of kde/gnome
applications and then we'll talk about filesystem cruft.

<sarcasm>Our filesystem is just superior but quite different... People on one side want a mac-clone, then they want to beat it in a constricted layout. Oh. well.</sarcasm>

Anyway, I too dream of a more working SWK, otherwise I would have not spend time and money to meet up with Fred and Nikolaus. Supposedly, they wouldn't either. I just pinged Fred again :) he will hate me soon.
Fun, talk and excellent Hochschwarzwald-Bier count too :)

I also want to reliably send emails from GS, even witha bit of HTML formatting. I also want reading RSS and openign URLs in the feeds as I can on Mac. I want to be able to unzip and untar files. I want... do draw GNUstep's own object logo in a GNUstep application (closer to at least goal than ever!!!)
