I think you meant the following?

(make-symbolic-link "/path/to/target" "/address@hidden:/name/of/file")

How should the following be handled?

(make-symbolic-link "/address@hidden:/path/to/target" 
(make-symbolic-link "/address@hidden:/path/to/target" 
(make-symbolic-link "/address@hidden:/path/to/target" "/this/is/a/local/source")
