Texinfo is too terse. Often it's ambiguous. And its parsers
(makeinfo?) are too graceful; there isn't any so called validator.
Okay, some of us might consider these issues as features ;)
Every project maintainer has to decide on his own whether he want to
make use of things SGML can offer. For what's worth, SGML is an ISO
standard; XML is not, though.
