gmake bootstrap - FAILS on GNU Emacs 21.3.50 |

Hello,
I am using the source from CVS and building on W2K using both MSVC 6.0
and GNU gcc 3.2 (MinGW32).
The build fails and aborts in "leim":
gmake[1]: Entering directory `D:/tmp/emacs/emacs/leim'
"./../src/oo-spd/i386/emacs.exe" -batch --no-init-file --no-site-file
--multibyte -f batch-byte-compile quail/lao.el
Warning: arch-dependent data dir (d:/emacs/emacs/bin/) does not exist.
Warning: arch-independent data dir (d:/emacs/emacs/etc/) does not exist.
>>Error occurred processing quail/lao.el: error (("Cannot open doc string file
>>\"d:/emacs/emacs/etc/DOC-X\""))
gmake[1]: *** [quail/lao.elc] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `D:/tmp/emacs/emacs/leim'
gmake: *** [all-other-dirs-gmake] Error 2
Looking forward to a fix. This prevents the build process from getting
completing.
with regards,
dhruva
