We don't. The only limit we care about is that 8.3 limit on MS-DOG doesn't
cause duplicate file names.
Since emacs-xt.tex is still unique in that context, it is ok.

I dislike it even more...
emacs-xtra.texi or emacs-extra.texi will do fine!
