I've now updated CC Mode with the latest bug fixes. Among other
things, it addresses the bugs with infinite loops during font locking
that Stefan Monnier reported some time ago.
I'm sorry the fix is a bit overdue. One reason was that I waited for
the fix for posix syntax classes in skip-chars-(backward|forward).
