Sold!!  That works, for me - I don't care what names we give the commands.
They should be separate commands (regexp vs keyword) - that's all. `apropos'
for keywords and `foobar' for regexps is fine by me. I still haven't seen an
argument against keeping the two kinds of search separate, in separate
commands - what's the drawback? Go ahead and reserve the name "apropos" for
keyword search - no problem.

Please don't make Norman Newbie wonder what black hole he fell down because
he messed up the syntax...  "Novice user friendly", indeed.

(I said I'd shut up, so I'll skip the line-by-line.)
