Sorry, I was unclear.  I meant the tags functionality is not specific
only to thumbnails.

It would be convenient to categorize images (i.e. attach categories or tags
via their displayed thumbnails, perform various sortings, regroupings,
and saving to the database) with the Ee information manager.  I will try
to add ee-thumbnails extension and base it on tumme.el.  This may require
changes in tumme.el to support a better program interface to other packages.
