    Richard has just announced that he plans on releasing Emacs 22.1 from
    the EMACS_BASE_22 branch.

I mis-stated my point in the previous message.  Of course we were
always planning to make 22.1 from the EMACS_BASE_22.  The change is
that I have decided to make future Emacs 22 versions from EMACS_BASE_22
also, not from the trunk.

Sorry for the confusion.

So people can use the trunk for changes meant for Emacs 23.
