`--no-blinking-cursor' in RXVT fails, that is to say, I cannot move point.
With a blinking cursor
src/emacs -q
succeeds.
I can not reproduce it here. Can you switch to another buffer with -nbc? Can you hit C-g and see if it gets unstuck?
