Font not found

Although mouse-set-font finds 15, 18, and 24 point fixed fonts in
lisp/mouse.el in x-fixed-font-alist

     ("9x15" "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--15-*-*-*-c-90-iso8859-1" "9x15")
     ("11x18" "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--18-*-*-*-c-110-iso8859-1" "11x18")
     ("12x24" "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--24-*-*-*-c-120-iso8859-1" "12x24")

it says `Font not found' for the 20 point font, as has happened
before, even though x-fixed-font-alist in lisp/mouse.el says

     ("10x20" "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--20-*-*-*-c-100-iso8859-1" "10x20")

GNU Emacs 23.0.60.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.12.9)

       make maintainer-clean && \
       time autoconf && time ./configure \
         --disable-font-backend \
         --with-x --with-type1 --with-x-toolkit=gtk && \
        time make bootstrap

and started with

    emacs -Q -D

(I disable the font backend because of other problems I have reported
before.  In yesterday's CVS snapshot, built with the same configuration,
the "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--20-*-*-*-c-100-iso8859-1" font was
found.)
