I see.  Thanks for the explanation.

I guess that in Gnus (for instance), the only buffer it would make sense
to have `bidi-paragraph-direction' nil would be in the article buffer.
All the other buffers are (by default) quite left-to-right (displaying
summary lines, group lines, etc).

I think.
