Data point: The wrapover happens after 4096 characters have been
received in a single package, apparently. All these look like:

The length from the first character of the article itself (the bit
starting with "Path:" to the end of the buffer is always 4096 characters
long.
And then the rest of the article appears at the beginning of the
buffer...
