I have been collecting some test cases from the bug reports to
nXhtml/MuMaMo. There are unit tests for most of them.

Those tests are distributed with nXhtml (and there are even menu
entries to run them). Please look at the versions in the repository:

  http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~nxhtml/nxhtml/main/files/head:/tests/

Perhaps you want to try to generalize the unit tests to work for other
multi major mode frameworks too?
