I'm not sure what you mean by mismatch.  You mean that the profiler
with the current default slows down execution by a factor of 4?

In my tests, the slowdown was of the order of 1%.

> How about setting the value to 9, for example?

I'm willing to change the default, but I'd first like to understand
what's the root cause.
