Why is that a problem? Do you mean that letting the window manager create & size the frame wouldn't ever put it in a place occupied by another application?
Yes, unless it has run out of pixels. Here I get an offset of some 20 pixels in both directions when creating a new frame. Not a great deal, obviously. martin
