compiling with gcc the ns port;
after installing with the package manager (no dev versions):
gnustep-make 2.6.6-1
gnustep-base 1.24.6-1
gnustep-gui 0.24.0-2

with ./configure --with-ns --with-gnustep-conf=/etc/GNUstep/GNUstep.conf
