I was about to do that this morning :) Thanks!
Is there an easy way using Emacs to detect these style issues, like
whitespace-mode does for general whitespace? With dir-locals we can then
apply those C style recommendations, like we do indentation already with
'(c-mode . ((c-file-style . "GNU")))'
