Oh, I have a perpetual rant at the HTML syntax in general, with all
its optional tags, voodoo rules for recovering from bad markup, the
adoption agency algorithm, and suchlike. If something is broken, it
should be visibly broken. I’d rather HTML were obsoleted in favor of
XHTML. Sadly, W3C does not feel that way.
