        Debian, which is known to use HTTP for deliver .deb packages for
        decades now, even offers specialized software to use as an HTTP
        caching proxy for APT repositories – such as apt-cacher,
        apt-cacher-ng and approx.  The software which isn’t entirely out
        of any demand; consider, e. g., [1]:
