Obviously they are different.That being said, I am by no means an expert in Emacs font internals nor do I particularly want to be; I'm just trying to help fix a bug that Martin considers important. If it's not an important bug after all, or if I'm getting in the way of fixing it, I will (happily and gratefully :-) move on to other things.
