.texi local variables specification

Hi,
a lot of texi files bundled with Emacs have local variable lines
similar to this:
\input texinfo @c -*-texinfo; coding: utf-8 -*-
which makes `hack-local-variables-prop-line' unhappy. Should we just
update those to
\input texinfo @c -*- mode: texinfo; coding: utf-8 -*-
?
