It'll always remain relevant enough for us to support.  Besides, 10
years is awfully optimistic for Wayland adoption.

People who want frame placement (i.e. by Speedbar) or session
restoration to work correctly will always have to run Emacs inside X (or
under Xwayland) as well, because even under Wayland X clients have the
ability to arbitrarily position windows.
