Now, this is in fact not documented well enough. Font-lock is so important for Org-mode to work, that I really need to do this. I thought even of just turning it on, but I am not sure what consequences this would have in various ways to set up font-lock-mode.

(A setting like this is probably obvious to many [to most?], but perhaps
a line in the FAQ or the manual would be helpful? Or is it there and I
just missed it?)
