I cannot even reproduce it with -1.
Can you make a full test case, please?
Can someone else also try, please?

The last character being the last in the collapsed region. I've gone back to 6.30e which doesn't have the problem.

I'm not using org-indent-mode as that caused crashes and life has become too short to fiddle around with CVS on 3 platforms!
