Okay, exactly what I thought. 
Thanks for confirmation.

%!          immediately store note after completing the template
            (skipping the `C-c C-c' that normally triggers storing)
            (org-remember only)
%&          jump to target location immediately after storing note
            (org-remember only)

Or a simple footnote...
