I do the following usually:

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
* <<introduction>> Introduction

In section [[introduction]], I show something.
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

I prefer visible labels instead of custom IDs although the latter works
as well but you need to say [[id:introduction]].
