Another question to any/all conf organizers, I'm trying to organize a "congress" for the prototype for Attribution-Based Economics, where Emacs community members get together and engage in the process of appraisal/attribution for the participating initial projects (i.e. Symex.el and Qi (this one for Racket rather than Emacs)). I've just posted this announcement on Reddit, but since I've never organized anything in the Emacs community before, I thought it would be prudent to ask you for advice. One thing I'm wondering about is, is Reddit the best place to reach the Emacs community, or are there other places you'd recommend as being more effective to reach folks and get participation? Any other thoughts on that notice?

I'd greatly appreciate any advice you might have.

Unrelatedly, I've attached the aforementioned VTT file in case it's good as is.

Thanks!

Hey Sacha,
I love your concept of "harvesting." So much so that I decided to expand the Q&A for my talk with lots more questions and answers :). Here they are: https://emacsconf.org/2022/talks/maint/

Btw, I asked about VTT chapter markers on #emacsconf-org but I guess there's no one active on there at the moment:

<countvajhula> I've finished adding NOTEs in the VTT file for the Q&A for my
talk, and I used subed to split the captions where the NOTEs
  should be inserted    [18:25]
<countvajhula> what should I do now?
<countvajhula> the wiki page mentions "subed-align" and
  "emacsconf-subed-make-chapter-file-based-on-comments" but I'm
not quite sure what those do    [18:27]

Pretty sure I didn't cut out any spoken parts - just trimmed off the beginning and end and adjusted volumes. So realigning an existing transcript should work!

Great! I'll get the server to reencode your mp4 into a webm once it's
done with the transcripts, and I can ask it to re-transcribe your video
just in case you cut out any spoken parts. (Did you? If not, I can just
realign the current one. Oooh, I wonder if there's an audio diff tool
that can handle non-exact alignment...) I've just documented a process
for harvesting Q&A at https://emacsconf.org/harvesting/ . Looking
forward to getting all this cool stuff into the wiki pages!

Sacha
