Hello emms-users
Hello EMMS users! I recieved a private mail, which I forward to you. I
stripped the attachment, it's now hosted on
http://rincevent.net/~lucas/emms_enno.png , until Enno's problem is
solved.
Yes, its me. And everything is okay. And it was before. I just played
the wrong files. :)
The files werent tagged. I was on the wrong disk. Sorry for the noise.
Enno, which is in Cc:, isn't subscribed probably, so please keep
him in
Cc:.
Thank you to all for fast replies.
And ... I guess, I missed it. But I could not find the mailing list
mentioned on the emms homepage.
Anyway, I am finally here.
I'm a bit busy right now, but I'll try to have a look at your problem,
which semms to simply be "lack of command line equivalent of ogginfo"
when I get around to it, or if nobody beats me to it.
What I did was the following to play ogg files. Maybe it helps other
people, too
install xiphqt from here http://xiph.org/quicktime/
Get qtplay from http://rainbowflight.googlepages.com/#qtplay
Its available as source, but binary works here
Copy it to /usr/bin
Create a link called /usr/bin/ogg123 pointing to qtplay.
get emms and unpack it. You dont need to touch it.
Add something like this to your .emacs file. (as mentioned in the
official documentation)
(add-to-list 'load-path "~/emms-3.0/")
(require 'emms-setup)
(emms-standard)
(emms-default-players)
(setq emms-source-file-default-directory "/Volumes/archive/music/
slayer/")
Thanks
Enno
