hi,
i've updated erc (address@hidden/erc--main--0).
when i M-x erc-select i get the following backtrace:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-number-of-arguments #[(buffer) "Ä!.9.rq
!.
ÈÉ!..ÊÉ!ËL..0.ÈÂ!.*.Ì..0.ÊÍ!ÎL..8.ÏÐÑ.)." [buffer buffer-file-name

auto-save-mode -1 nil boundp write-file-functions make-local-variable
(erc-save-buffer-in-logs) (erc-save-buffer-in-logs) write-file-hooks
(erc-save-buffer-in-logs) G98802 (byte-code "ÁÂ !.dSÃ.."
[erc-last-saved-position insert-file-contents erc-current-logfile nil] 3)
((error))] 3 ("/usr/local/share/emacs/site-lisp/erc/erc-log.elc" . 8287)] 0)
erc-log-setup-logging()
run-hooks(erc-connect-pre-hook)
erc-open("irc.freenode.net" 6667 "giorgian" "unknown" t nil)
erc-select(:server "irc.freenode.net" :port 6667 :nick "giorgian" :password
nil)
call-interactively(erc-select)
execute-extended-command(nil)
call-interactively(execute-extended-command)
i then commented in my .emacs everything about logging, and erc
attempted connection, but then failed on:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (void-function erc-restore-text-properties)

erc-server-filter-function(#<process erc-irc.freenode.net-6667> "NOTICE AUTH

then i commented out from my .emacs everything about fill, and finally
i have:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (void-function erc-away-time)
erc-away-time()
erc-add-timestamp()
run-hooks(erc-send-modify-hook)
erc-display-command("/msg nickserv identify yhimy")
erc-send-input("/msg nickserv identify yhimy")
erc-send-current-line()
call-interactively(erc-send-current-line)
in the end, i wasn't able to connect to irc...
is it possible that it's been my fault, some way?
what i did is:
tla update
then i edited the Makefile, setting
EMACS = /usr/bin/emacs-snapshot
to use emacs22 instead of emacs21, and finally
make install
