I have a project of template application, that will give quick start on
making new apps. Maybe we can use that. Currently it has some problems
with vrdeb, the old prefix thing ... but I have some ideas for
workaround. Sad thing is that I'm completely out of time.

I have found that the GNU stow is nice and simple way of packaging:

http://www.gnu.org/software/stow/stow.html

Maybe the idea can be placed into vrdeb.
