Is there a DEB build of 1.1.4 RC available for testing yet?
No. I'm feeling certain about 1.1.4 so makes more sense to release 1.1.4 first and then get try to get it into Debian/Ubuntu (IIRC Alessio Treglia did a really good and quick job with this the previous release).
