Earlier today, I noticed that when I start an email composition buffer in
XEmacs, the buffer has the following attributes "MIME-Edit 7bit Fill
Abbrev". XEmacs also tells me that I can type "C-c C-x C-z" to exit Mime
mode. When I do that, my buffer then has the familiar attributes of "Fill
Abbrev". I don't know what I've done to deserve this sort of behavior from
XEmacs but a friend said he does not see this behavior but he built XEmacs
from scratch rather than use what comes with RH 7.1. Perhaps I'll try that.
Anyway, I things will be okay as long as I remember to get out of Mime mode.
