Re: generated files in CVS

It is generally a bad idea to add generated files to CVS because:

1. You have to update both the original and the generated file.

2. People forget.

3. People update the generated file, but not the original, and their
  changes get overwritten.

Wouldn't it make more sense simply to include these in the distribution
tarball, but not put them in CVS?
