for us to have an FSF, SFLC http://softwarefreedom.org/ and
http://sfconservancy.org/ at some point. We can't really rely on our
proximity to the USA, given it seems the influence from those who oppose
FLOSS from the USA have been far more involved in Canadian policy than
we have been thus far.

harmful changes in the law that get in our way that has been my focus

I see the eventual FSF CA as an umbrella for such work, which is of
great importance. Without all your previous ground work, we don't have
essential information to act upon, so your focus is incredibly useful.
The fact SOPA is reaching people we could never even be close to (in
terms of legislation information/advocacy) bring the good timing to
bridge your work, local activists and FLOSS advocacy, which is pretty
much part of FSF's mission elsewhere.

We "just" need to gather all this and make it easy for anyone interested
to join forces.

Cheers,

Fabian
