Apart from unknown linker bugs, GCL 2.6.5 does not handle relocatable data
sections on Windows. This problem occurs with versions of MinGW32 gcc
greater than 3.3.1. Gcc 3.3.1 itself is fine so it might be worthwhile
finding out which gcc is being used (gcc --version).
GCL in CVS has a fix for that problem.
