They can also install en_IN.utf-8
I think unix locale sux, they should convert everything into UTF-8, like glob2
itself. So the problem is not UTF-8, it's the lack of it. It's a standard,
used by KDE, Gnome, Debian, Glob2, Mozilla...
Only windows uses unicode with fixed width char (16 bits), which is heavy and
useless. Perhaps it's because they do not know how to do a GUI with
variable-length chars ? lol ;-)
And for the question about Chineese and Japaneese, the problem is for UCS-16,
is it also present with UCS-32 (which can be encoded through UTF-8 out of the
box ) ?
