I know that this happens when the wanted nickname is already in use. There needs to be a way to provide a secondary IRC name.
yes, something like adding an underscore at the end of the nick until the nick is free. but this can be a problem, because this makes that either: your yog nickname is also changed or your yog nick isn't the same as your irc nick.
