Hi everybody,

http://www.globulation2.org/wiki/Things_to_do_before_1.0.0 is outdated,
indeed, 0.9.3 is released!

Anyway, if we trust this page, we are close to 1.0. It is also my feeling
that, if 0.9.4 add ladders and stats, the next release, should be 1.0 (with
RC before of course). The new scripting language will not be ready for then,
because Martin is still very busy, but we have not abandoned it, and it
should be ready for 1.X ;-)

What do you think? Have a nice day,

Steph

I think before 1.0, we need to do a few things. First, we need to do the gameplay balancing that I've suggested in the other thread. We also need media, many more maps, a few campaigns, etc...

I've also received some comments from a few of my friends who tried out Globulation 2. One of my friends said the tutorial was confusing, and it needed arrows to point to the things the text was talking about. Another one of my friends said the unit allocation system seemed off, he said when he wanted something constructed, they wouldn't come to construct, or a war flag and they wouldn't come to do it.

While I explained to him that he was likely overworking his units, there is no visual clue to this. We need a way to tell users why workers aren't doing what we tell them to, even though it seems like they should.

1.0 definitely needs to be the whole package and we don't want to do it too soon.
