[Gm2] False value of LONGREAL

and here something which might be related to the crash I reported some 
minutes ago ...

MAX(LONGREAL) and MAX(REAL) seems to be INF in both cases - at least 
that's the output.

That the loop in the example does not terminate is a proves that this is 
not a problem
with the IO-routines in my view.
