Nearly home, folks.

After a few bumps, to be reported after build, I have arrived at the following problem.  Makeinfo halts due to too many erros in the gm2.texi file.

Here is a sample.

if test "xinfo" = xinfo; then \
  rm -f doc/m2.info*; \
          makeinfo --split-size=5000000 --split-size=5000000 --split-size=5000000 --no-headers -I/home/build/opt/gcc/bld/gm2/gcc/m2 -I../../../src/gcc-git/gcc/doc/include \                       -o doc/m2.info ../../../src/gcc-git/gcc/doc/gm2.texi ; \
else true; fi
[...]

The build is using makeinfo 4.8.  Which version is recommended (or is something else going on)?

Sincerely,
john
