OK first of all I am stupid, because I didn't do a make install, so it used
the old libgnokii. After I did a make install --identify worked.
xgnokii still coredumps.

Now to irda vs infrared. Which is which? My understanding was irda is raw
irda, infrared uses the Linux IRDA-Stack. I am correct?

P.S.: On a sitenote is there anything besides the static data I have to initia-
lize, I am working on the perlmodule now.
