sending something to 6110 series

Hi....

1. I have seen the Docs/protocol/nokia.txt of gnokii-0.3.5.
  But I don't know the checksum part of fbus version 1.
  What is the meaning of ^= in the following code?

"   CRC = 0;
   for (i = 0; i < (2 + CMD_LEN); i++)
       CRC ^= frame[i];         "


2. If I want to control the phone of 6110 series to press a "0" key, is it 
correct?

"0x01 0x12 0x0c 0x00 0x01 0x0042 0x01 0x0a 0x01 0x08 0x__"

where the last word is the checksum.
