iso-8859-2, utf-8, or how with nokia 5110

Hi!

I'm trying to send messages in hungarian by smsd, but I have problems
with encoding.

Sent from mysql i only get ?? on phones instead of A' o: o" u'  ,etc.
Is there a problem with 5110 or something else?
(I've already tried UTF-8 and ISO-8859-2 character sets for table
outbox and column text but no difference.)

Used system: Ubuntu Dapper,  Mysql 5, Apache 2      +Nokia 5110.
