Hmm, I am a bit confused because it actually here mentions the word Error, (Error 1 and Error 2):

make[1]: *** [libPHONES.la] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/source/gnokii-0.6.15/common/phones'
gmake: *** [common/phones] Error 2                                                     

So there is an error but it just doesn't say more than "Error 1 and Error 2". Isn't there a way to see more ? Maybe there is someone else here on the list who managed to compile Gnoki 0.6.15 on Solaris 10 SPARC ?
