I am currently running an sms server using gnokii connecting a 3120 phone connected to the computer using a dku-5 cable. But after running a few months, it has gone down completely without any hope of recovery. I have tried updating the linux kernel, I have tried download and installing gnokii from cvs and all that is left is to build back the server from scratch.
Before this it was already having occasional problems with SM_Block. But it would finally go through after unplugging the phone and connecting it again. So I think it is probably a problem with the connection. I have tried replacing the cable with 4 other cables but still could not get it to work.
I was wondering whether it would be better to use bluetooth or irda connection. And if it is, which phone would be best
to use it with? Please help. Thank you for your time.
