How to compile smsd in 0.6.27

Hi all,
 
The documentation says that the smsd is now compiled with gnokii. Somehow I am not able to compile it.
 
Commands ./configure -> make -> make install produces the gnokii and it works (gnokii --identify gives the information from the connected Nokia)
 
After I noticed that smsd was not compiled, I used the "make distclean" the clean up and after that I used commands:
./configure --enable-smsd
make
make install
 
Still no smsd found. Gnokii --identify works fine.
 
I also tried make -command in smsd -directory, but got errors. Seems that compiler does not find glib.h -file.
 
What is the correct way to compile smsd and mysql libraries?
