I need some help with this. I'll probably build a Gnoppix and a Knoppix
both, if I can get someone to host them. Any suggestions on how to go
about this -- how to unpack the CD to a chroot environment, suggestions
on how to rebuild, how to replace the kernel, patches I'll need to add
- -- would be very helpful, preferably on the forum's entry so it's all in
one place.

I know where to get a modified toolkit from for Debian already so don't
worry about my specifics. I just need to know how to rebuild from
scratch, change the kernel, and re-press the tree to an ISO image.

I've looked on google and in Knoppix' docs for help doing this but all I
can find is remastering things that are done from the live CD; I need to
do this under my host OS.
