The same here.
Gnoppix was installed on a virtual HD (VMWare running under WinXP; using
the "trick" export IGNORE_CHECK=1 sudo gnoppix-installer)
Bootinf from virtual HD
lilo starts
no second processor found
then
/skin/modprobe -s -k block-major8, errorno=2
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:02
