[Gnoppix-user] SATA port at VIA KT600 |

Hi all,
I downloaded Gnoppix 0.6.0-RC1 last week in the hope that I can now
access my harddisk that is attached to the SATA port of my mainboard.
I still find /dev/hda to be the DVD drive I boot from and there are no
other devices detected nor do I find a module to activate the SATA port.
The DVD is attached to the normal IDE port.
This is a MSI KT6 Delta LSR which has a VT8237 IDE/SATA chip as part of
the KT600 chipset.
As this is a low volume list, let me add the second question in the same
message. I am looking for a module to read out temperatures etc from the
Winbond W83697hf chip? Other distributions seem to carry a kernel
modules called w83781d that supports it...
Cheers,
Peter.
